Art Casting Plaster is a beta hemihydrate plaster manufactured from high purity, white gypsum rock. The plaster is formulated with surface hardening agents to improve decorating properties and reduce paint absorption. It can be reinforced with hemp and other fibers, aggregated, and pigmented. Art Casting Plaster is a versatile casting medium used primarily for solid-cast statuary and other decorative parts and accessories.

Use Consistency – 64-68 cc/100g
% Expansion (max.) – 0.20%
-100 Mesh – 98.5 – 100% passing
50 Mesh – 0%
Dry Compressive Strength – 2,000 psi
ART CASTING PLASTER 20 TYPICAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Set Time – 15-24 minutes
Use Consistency – 64-68 cc/100g
% Expansion (max.) – 0.20%
-100 Mesh – 98.5 – 100% passing
50 Mesh – 0%
Dry Compressive Strength – 2,000 psi
- Sift plaster into water slowly and evenly.
- Let soak for 1 minute. This allows the gypsum crystals to wet-out, displacing trapped air.
- Mix for 2 minutes.
